DRH/SH Alumni Endowment Fund

In October 2009, a group of passionate DRH/SH alumni led by alumnus Mr Seah Cheng San and Ms Deborah Ong embarked on establishing an endowed DRH/SH Alumni Endowment Fund. The fund was to generate annual bursaries to provude financial aid for needy undergraduate students staying at Sheares Hall.

Together with the generosity of DRH/SH alumni, an intial target sum of SGD250,000 was raised within four weeks which received a 1:1 government matching grant. The income generated from the fund was to support ten bursaries annually in perpetuity. While the fund is managed centally by NUS, the selection process will be carried out by Sheares Hall.

In 2012, as part of DRH and SH's 60th and 30th anniversary respectively, Sheares Hall embarked further on a fund raising effort through a charity gold event held at the Raffles Country Club.
